The 24-Hour Chapel of Elvis

Actors: 3
Reference: I Cor. 13
Notes: As you'll notice, we used a female Elvis. This is primarily because we didn't have an extra guy to play him! You are, of course, welcome to use a guy - but in our case the female Elvis worked out amazingly well. Several audience members pointed to this juxtaposition as the skit's crowning jewel.

Synopsis

[View Full Script]
Keith and Barbera are about to be married at a seedy Las Vegas chapel by an unconvincing Elvis impersonator. However, on the way up the aisle they begiun arguing and insulting each other to beat the band. By the time Elvis manages to break in, they've demonstrated that they are not patient, never kind or gentle, and have a record of wrongs stored up as long as their arms. Elvis manages to point this out to them by quoting a combination of 1 Cor. 13 and his own songs. Barb and Keith realize that they are not in love with each other, but rather with their dog and car (themselves!), and rush out, full of thanks for Elvis, who (of course) tells them "Thank you. Thank you very much!"
