How do you rate as a 1930's spouse?
Man, this forum has been Dead lately!
Hopefully this will liven it up a bit. I could have posted it as General Discussion, because I can imagine that it might provoke a few comments on whether or not some of the ratings are in the least legitimate. :}
Anyway, I got an 86 on the wife test, but David got something around 125 on the husband test, and since I was watching I know he didn't cheat. Hmmmph. Gotta start ironing more of his clothes, I guess. ;)

Me either, thank goodness! Furthermore, most of his clothes don't really need ironing, so although I had to answer that question in the negative, I don't think I should be pinged all that much.
(Or at least, I don't think I should be pinged except for the fact that most laundry lives on the couch in the bedroom, not the dressers and closet!) :)

I received a 147 as a husband and an 88 as a wife! I think the test is biased though, I mean seriously, who cooks with an apron? And another thing, garlic before bed? Come on!

137 as a husband. Had to be honest--I'm not in a good humor early in the morning. But on the plus side, I'm well liked by men and not a sissy.
Also, I don't monopolize the radio on Sunday for baseball broadcasts . . .

The consensus (male and female) at Wednesday night dinner was that it is a whole lot easier to be a superior husband in the 30's than a superior wife. All the guy has to do is earn a living and take his wife out on a couple of dates. The woman, however, has to cook (while dressed, no less!), iron, fold, and do her hair and makeup *plus* keep her stockings straight - all while juggling 2 or 3 kids if she wants Serious points.
Sheesh.
