Ready to ditch the shallow life?

This year’s theme is “Rescued,” and we’re diving into what it means to live deeply in a world that keeps trying to pull us into the shallows. Beth Banham will be speaking and helping us look honestly at the things that drain us: anxiety, difficult people, screens, AI, and the ways we distract or numb ourselves.
It’s easy to drift into shallow living without even realizing it—but Jesus invites us into so much more: real connection, meaningful work, and a faith that actually satisfies.
It’ll be a long weekend full of laughter, rest, fun, and fresh hope—for the whole family.
Let’s go deeper—together.

Beth and Dan Banham

Our Speaker: Beth Banham

Beth Banham has a heart for Jesus, the church, and helping people experience the amazing rescue God offers in the middle of life’s messiness. Born in Jima, Ethiopia, to missionary parents, she grew up surrounded by stories of adventure and faith. Beth learned early that following Jesus means stepping into a rescue story that’s both wild and wonderful.
For almost 30 years Beth and her husband, Dan, have been serving City’s Edge Friends Church, a community they planted with unrealistic ideals, limited gifting, lots of hope, and plenty of guts. By God’s grace, it’s growing into a place where people find healing, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging. Their son Grant and his wife Rebecca continue the family’s commitment to serve with authenticity, hospitality, and more than a little sarcastic charm.
Beth is passionate about creating spaces where people can connect with God and one another in meaningful ways. At this year’s Family Camp, she’ll invite everyone to step out of the shallows of stress and distractions and dive into the deep, refreshing love and hope that only God can provide.

Important Reminders

  • Know Where Your Children Are! Please keep in mind that children are supervised by Family Camp staff only during the morning teaching session.
Neither Family Camp nor TRFC staff are able to provide any supervision in the Shelter, volleyball court, Arts and Crafts room, playground, Gaga Ball pit, mini-golf, etc.
Family Camp politely recommends that children under 9 years of age be supervised at all times.
  • Lake Activities are only available while lifeguards are on duty. Check the schedule for these hours.
  • NO swimming or even wading in the ocean due to very strong undertow. This is a dangerous beach. Please stay safe and out of the Pacific. (The stream is a great alternative for kids who want to get wet!)
The Family Camp Squad also politely recommends that holes dug on the beach should be no deeper than the knees of the shortest member of the group. Avoid tradgedy by keeping it shallow!
  • The Dining Hall is closed 30 minutes before each meal so that the set-up teams can work. Otherwise, it’s a great place to hang out!
  • The nurse's station is next to the Tillamook Bay room in Hadley Hall, but our nurses will usually be elsewhere on campus. Please find a TRFC staff or Family Camp Squad member if you need medical assistance.
  • Watch for up-to-the-moment announcements and reminders on screen before each morning meeting.

Bridge Code : 418

Please use the bridge every time. If the stairs are a challenge, there is a limited amount of on-street parking at the beach. Please do not cross the highway on foot.
