This Sunday (12-21)
Hey Everyone!

We're keeping a close eye on the weather for this weekend. At this point, we will probably go ahead and have church. It will be somewhat scaled down, as it is very unlikely I will be able to get the trailer there. Show up if you feel safe driving there, and *please* drive carefully. I will post to this site and try to make sure you are contacted by phone if we do cancel.

We will indeed hold church service this morning--quite scaled down, however. Probably no P.A. or Powerpoint. There will be heat (!) and acoustic worship, hopefully some snacks, Scripture and discussion, and of course that warm Christian fellowship that we always enjoy!
Come ONLY if you have traction devices on your vehicle AND feel safe driving in this weather. It's a little treacherous out there!
Otherwise, have a Merry Christmas, and we'll see you next week, weather permitting.

Dan - do you know if we are planning on rescheduling the christmas pagent? I know many of the kids (David, Chris, Grant etc) worked really hard and it would be shame not to let "the show go on"...

Christmas dramatic production postponement?
I don't know for sure, and my name's not Dan, but I think the Christmas program will go on. I agree that it would be a shame to miss it.
Besides, referencing our drama team and team of writers and their unfailing attention to historical accuracy, we do not technically know the exact time of year when the original Christmas event even took place. We would therefore not be compromising any of our actors' integrity by holding this event at a later date. Right, Doug?

Christmas Spectacular Production Pageant-O-Rama
Sure. Let's do it when the weather clears up and all the kids are available. Say . . . May?
Seriously, I don't want to miss Christmas with all of you, regardless of when we have to celebrate it! Soon, I hope.

I understand from my "Good News" magazine that Jesus was probably born in either August or September. We could wait 'til then! :)
Alternately, you could all come down here: it may top 80, and is already 75 here in beautiful Brandon FL. ;-D
(Sorry, just had to rub that in for a moment. Seriously, though, it looks just plain *weird* to place wreaths, plastic snow-men, santas and icecicle lights in a yard filled with palm trees and bright sunshine. And that 2 inch cockroach in my bathroom this morning didn't exactly put me in the Christmas spirit either. It cuts both ways!)
