Job Searching
I have a job interview tomorrow (Friday), so I thought I'd put that out there in case anyone is able to pray for me. It is at 2 pm. I don't know very much about the job itself, but I would appreciate some prayer that I won't totally mess it up.

Also, I know I'm not the only one in the church that is looking for work, or was recently looking for work, or may be looking for work in the future, or doesn't like to work (that should cover just about everyone, right?) Anyway, I was kind of hoping to start a thread where we could post thoughts, feelings, discoveries, disappointments, whatever, regarding this whole process. Personally it's one of those things where I am just really confused as to why this is happening. I'm sure God is trying to teach me something in all of this, but I don't really know what yet, and there are times that it's just frustrating.

I'd be interested to hear what anyone has learned in the course of being out of work, either by choice or not.

re: Job Searching
When Mel and I were jobless we figured ti was a faith lesson. "
How to fly with only God as a net 101"

Matthew 6:31-34
Therefore do not worry, saying,"What shall we eat?
or "What shall we drink?" or What shall we wear?" Fro after all these things the Gentiles see. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

After all it's only faith if you can't be sure of the outcome. If you can lean on anything but God it's not really faith.

We will be praying for you Zach. I will set a timer to remind me.

God Bless!

Thanks to everyone who prayed for me. The interview went very well, I was relaxed and even enjoyed myself. I'll probably find out next week sometime what happened.

So I finally heard back today that ... they are still deciding. He said he has interviewed more people, and has a very tough decision to make. Thank you everyone who is praying for us. Some days (like today) it even seems like God is still there. :)

I heard back that they would like me to come in again on Friday for yet another interview. I will be meeting 2 more people, which will make 4 altogether (out of 7 I think).

re: Job Searching
Just found out that they lost a big client and they will not be able to hire anyone at this point. I'm still going in on Friday, and I will "in the queue" for if/when they are able to hire.

So I'm pretty much back to square one. Sweet.

re: Job Searching
Things have been fairly busy at the Brumbelow house this last week. Ok, that might be a bit of an understatement. On the same day that Mikayla was born, I got a job! Praise God! I got this job that I have interviewed for a few times. If you want to see the specifics, check out the link. I go in tomorrow to fill out paperwork and I will probably start working full time next week. Thank you to everyone who has prayed and grieved and supported us during this time. God is good, even if I don't always believe it to be true. I just feel blessed.

Isn't that just like the Lord to do things at the "last minute"? I think it's great that you got to spend some time with your little family though before getting back. That is really a blessing you guys!

Right after I got your text that the baby was born I turned to Mel and said, "You watch, now Zack will get his job." It was so cool to hear I was right.

I just love to watch God work in the lives of the people he loves!

Congrats on both counts. It's nice to see some of the pressure is lifting.
