Are you a Heretic?
You scored as Chalcedon compliant. You are Chalcedon compliant. Congratulations, you're not a heretic. You believe that Jesus is truly God and truly man and like us in every respect, apart from sin. Are you a heretic?created with QuizFarm.com

Apparently I'm also Chalcedon compliant. I didn't think much of the quiz though.

i think this quiz i geared to throw you off and trick you into saying that you don't beleive. some of the questions were repeated in various forms and i too did not think very highly of it.

oh yeah, I'm Chalcedon compliant too.

Hmm... yes, I think you are right. But I think the rejoinder to that complaint is "that's exactly what a good heresy does." It tricks you into making a minor concession (i.e. "Jesus became divine at the time of his baptism.") without fully understanding the ramifications ("If Jesus was born human and became divine, so too could we.") until possibly it is too late.

If I was to make a stylistic / scoring complaint about the test, it would be the gradiations of 1 to 5 on how strongly you believe something. The statements were boolean - true or false. It's hard to "mostly" believe a boolean. At most I think there should have been a "yes," "no," and possibly a "neither" or "don't know" option. Personally I'd have had to answer a couple of the questions "don't know," 'cause, well, I didn't. There were a few that were written in a confusing or even arguable / interpretable fasion (31,38)

Exactly. I answered those questions with a three. I'm Chalcedon compliant as well. But I've never really liked to think of myself as any kind of "compliant." It sounds so, well. . . domesticated.
