(mostly) Free Events This Summer
There are several reoccurring events this summer that you might want to know about. It would be cool to do some of these events together. You know, that whole "community" thing that Christ is always talking about. :-)

First, Firefly at the Mission Theatre
Each Tuesday the Mission Theatre (NW 17th & Glisan) will be showing two episodes of Firefly til they finish the series. The admission is free, and the episodes start at 10pm, though it is 21-and-over only. Free, i would like to add, is a very good price!

# Tues. 7/24: "Shindig" and "Safe"

Third, there's the Top Down series
This series happens on the top floor of a parking structure (15th & Morison). They're doing all black & whites this year, though not all of them are old. The cost is $7 to get in, bring your camping chairs and blankets. They have food/drinks available you want to buy it there. The fun of it is having a 360° view of portland and be above all of the city sounds. Plus, its fun people watching! The website has plot synopses.
