A Tarkheena is essentially a princess - or at least a noblewoman - of Calormen in the Chronicals of Narnia. Aravis is the most famous example: she appears in "The Horse and His Boy." (Aravis as drawn by Pauline Baynes is also my icon on LiveJournal.) It was obscure and geeky enough that I picked it when I was looking for, well, geeky and obscure titles.
I also spelled it wrong. Note the missing "h" in the blog title. :)
IGH.... well, you can ask David. ;)
